Dan Black’s UN has it’s North American release today and it’s worth checking out. The song Goreki Fix Up My Girlfriend Some More is a blend of Prince’s If I Was Your Girlfriend and a piece from composer Henryk Gorecki which creates a very cinematic song and is from his mixtape Weird Science.

Some of you might know the original Peter Schilling 1984 version of Major Tom (Coming Home) which was a retelling of David Bowie’s 1969 Space Oddity. Well now it’s 2010 and Shiny Toy Guns have given us a good version. You might recognize the song from a crappy car commercial but I won’t hold it against them, gotta make money somehow.
