I Still Don’t Like Kayne But This Video Rocks

And it would rock even more without Kayne pushing his ego-driven messiah crap on us. The video was created by artist  Marco Brambilla who also did the brilliant elevator video for the Standard Hotel in NYC. The short music video is only one minute and forty two seconds and I don’t think it’s the new wave of music videos, but it is about one minute and forty seconds too long to have to have to look at Kayne. Just my opinion, I’m sure some of you worship love him and good for you.

Computers Want Me Dead -- In Your Blood

Sounds like this New Zealand band is a little paranoid with a name like that.

Dada, Obernik & Harris – Stereo Flo

This one is about a year old but still a good dance floor track.

WTF Thursday

Tobacco – Super Gum

I guess alien anal probes are mutual and when he “phoned home”, he dialed a sex line by mistake. This is such a weird video but kinda brilliant. I believe they have just edited together some old footage from an actual E.T. porn, but I can’t find much info about it. Reminds me of Diesel’s SFW XXX party clip.

Kylie Minogue’s New “All The Lovers” Video

Love the new Kylie Minogue video for the first single off her new album, titled Aphrodite, coming out on June 6th. Might seem like an underwear or perfume commercial at first, but it keeps getting better.

Tastes Like Caribou

The new album Swim, from Caribou, was released this week and although it’s a good album and reminds me a little of the Knife’s earlier work, it’s not a dance album. Dan Snaith (Caribou), talks about making the new dance album in a Pithchfork article.

I got excited by the idea of making dance music that’s liquid in the way it flows back and forth, the sounds slosh around in pitch, timbre, pan… Dance music that sounds like it’s made out of water, rather than made out of metallic stuff like most dance music does.

I like the concept, but there isn’t one track that is going to get a dance floor moving, unless it’s the end of the night and you want the floor to be moving it’s way to the door.
